ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
Additional driver - 10cad/day Additional drivers must meet the same rules and restrictions as the primary renter and be listed on the rental agreement.
AFTER HOURS
After hour drops are permitted, We offer a 24hr key box. Instructions will be provided at time of rental pickup. Any damage caused to the vehicle, if returned out of hours, is the responsibility of the renter until the rental agents have checked in the vehicle. In keeping with industry standards and association guidelines, short term vehicle rental does not have a margin of fair wear and tear for damage. A short term rental is any hire for which the duration is less than 30 consecutive days. Any change to the condition of the vehicle during the rental will be the responsibility of the customer.
AGE
Renters and additional drivers must be min 19years of age to a maximum of 90 years of age with a valid physical drivers license that has been valid for at least 6 months. Underage drivers fee - 15cad/day will apply to drivers aged 19-24yrs of age. *Renters 19-24yrs are restricted to rent ECAR, HCAR, CCAR, DCAR, ICAR, JCAR, FCAR, GCAR (economy to fullsize cars). *Renters must be min 30yrs of age to rent XTAR - Corvette Convertible

CANCELLATION
Cancellation Policy 24hr advance cancellation is required for all pay on arrival bookings. Please see Prepaid Reservations policy for cancellation details on prepaid rate packages. All cancellations must be made directly on the site where originally booked. Please note that telephone cancellations will not be accepted. U-Save will do everything possible to provide a vehicle. This may include offering a different vehicle and rates may be different to the original booking. In the event of a no-show, a cancellation and/or no-show fee of 1 day will apply. Flight numbers provided are for informational purposes only. It is the responsibility of the renter to inform the location of any delays.
CDW
CDW is not included in the rate for exclusive or US source bookings. If CDW is not purchased, the customer is liable for the full value of the car. Customers must provide evidence of self insurance to qualify to rent or purchase CDW at the counter. CLEANING
No animals should be transported in our vehicles. A cleaning fee may be applied to rectify any soiling due to animal transportation. Charges are detailed in the damage matrix available at the rental counter. A minimum fee of 250.00usd will apply. Vehicle Condition Vehicles must be returned to the location/drop off point in the same condition as when it was picked up/delivered. It is the responsibility of the renter to ensure that the vehicle is thoroughly checked prior to taking custody of the vehicle. While in charge of the vehicle the renter accepts responsibility for maintaining the roadworthiness of the vehicle and agrees to take remedial action to avoid unnecessary cost/damage. This will include maintaining oil levels, tire pressures and other common sense actions to maintain the vehicle. Costs will generally be covered only if it’s authorized in advance from the rental branch. The renter must return the vehicle in a clean condition (normal wear and tear excepted). If the vehicle is exceptionally dirty upon return or if there is damage to the seats, seat upholstery or the carpets, an additional charge for deep cleaning will apply. This charge will be dependent upon the actual state of the vehicle when returned.
CROSS BORDER
Crossing the border into the US will result in a 15cad border crossing fee. Cars are permitted on ferries. Additional fees may apply, please check with the rental station directly to enquire.
DEBIT CARDS
Debit cards will be accepted only for payment of rental on return. A valid credit card will be required for the deposit at time of pickup.
DELIVERY COLLECTION
Delivery Meet and Greet of the rental vehicle is available to local hotels or airports for an additional cost of between $50-150cad depending on the location. Please contact the location directly to make arrangements for this service.
DEPOSIT RULES
Deposit / Preauthorization Information We will require a security deposit to be preauthorized on the credit card of the primary renter. A preauthorization is the method by which a deposit authorization is held and not transacted as a sale: the funds must be available in the account but will not be withdrawn. The amount will not be available to the account holder until released by their bank. The period until the funds are released is usually between 5 and 15 days after the rental return but can be longer depending on the type of card and country of issue.
DRIVERS LICENSE
Driver License Requirements All renters must be in possession of a valid, original physical drivers licence including the photo ID which must be valid for min 6 months. An international drivers license is required if the drivers license is not in English, Latin or Cyrillic letters. The renter is solely responsible to ensure that their license is valid for use in the respective country and to determine whether an IDP is required by local law. Failure to provide a valid license and IDP (as required) will result in a non-refundable termination of the reservation at the rental counter. In the event that the renter arrives at the rental desk without the necessary documentation, the booking will be cancelled. In these cases, there will be no refund. You may be denied rental for reasons including, but not limited to the following: - Previous driving disqualifications - Pending prosecution or police inquiry - Convictions for offenses relating to theft, fraud, or dishonesty - Involved in an at-fault accident within the last 5 years - Involved in more than 1 accident in the last 3 years - Defective vision
EARLY RETURN
Early Returns/Unused Rental Days No refunds (partial or full) will be given for rentals ended early including the purchase of ancillary items, late collections, no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date.
EQUIPMENT
Child seats - 10cad/day Booster seat - 5 cad/day GPS - 15cad/day Winter tires - 20cad/day Snow Chains - 35cad/day Ski Box / Rack - 20cad/day *Responsibility for the installation of child/ baby seats rests with the renter and will not be done by U-Save employees. This is due to liability in case of inappropriate installation. All equipment is available upon request and cannot be guaranteed.
FUEL
All vehicles vehicle must be returned with the same level of fuel as rented to avoid a refueling charge of 4.49 per litre.
INSURANCE
TPL - 200,000cad third party liability coverage is included in all rentals. All charges over and above the maximum 200,000cad provided by U-Save will be the responsibility of the renter. You can use your own liability coverage or purchase additional coverage at the counter. NO-SHOWS
Delayed Collections/ No show policy Reservations will be held for 3 hours from the specified reservation time after which they will be classed as a no-show. If the renter arrives after this time or if the rental station closes in the interim, then a vehicle is not guaranteed. Flight numbers provided are for informational purposes only. It is the responsibility of the renter to inform the location of any delays.
OTHER
Accidents Failure to report accidents truthfully and in keeping with the rental terms and conditions will result in risk reduction packages being null and void. Failure to cooperate or providing false information in connection with a claim will result in the driver being liable for all claims costs. In the event that a customer is involved in an accident during the rental period, a replacement vehicle is not guaranteed. Lost Keys A charge will apply if keys are lost or damaged. Please note that if a vehicle is stolen and keys are not returned to the rental location, the renter will be deemed negligent. Lost keys are deemed as negligence and are not covered under the insurance deductible limitation or risk reduction packages. Renters will be liable for all costs relating to recovery, loss of use and repair. This list is not exhaustive. Lost Property In the event that personal belongings are left in the vehicle or at the rental station, it must be reported at the earliest convenience to U-Save who will endeavor to find and return the item/s. However, U-Save and its representatives will not be held liable for any loss or damage to belongings left in the rental car or within the rental premises. Vehicle Trackers Some of the vehicles contain tracking devices which will be used in accordance with our data protection policy. OVERSTAY
Late Returns A vehicle is rented for a contracted period as detailed on the rental agreement. The return day and time as selected by the renter at the time of booking will be enforced regardless of delayed pickup time. If the vehicle is returned outside the grace period, there will be an additional charge. Charges will be withdrawn from the card provided for the security deposit. Grace period: 59 minutes
PAYMENT
American Express, Visa and Mastercard are accepted for security deposit at rental pickup. Discover, prepaid Visa/Mastercard, debit cards and electronic use cards may be accepted for payment of rental only upon rental return. Valid credit card is required for the deposit. Accepted cards stated above must be in the renters’ name with sufficient funds available to cover the deductibles (excess) and security deposit. Failure to provide valid physical card in the renter’s name may result in the booking being cancelled and no funds for the prepaid amount being reimbursed. In the event that the original booking was paid for utilizing a third party credit or debit card, renters may be required to present details, permissions and authorization relating to the transaction. Failure to provide the information requested may result in the hire being refused.
PREPAID RESERVATIONS
Prepaid Cancellation Policy All cancellations must be made in writing or cancelled through your account on the U-Save website. Please note that telephone cancellations will not be accepted. Cancellation Policy for U-Save Basic package Non-refundable  Cancellation Policy for U-Save Plus and Premium packages Cancellation notification sent 7 or more days before the start date: the prepaid amount will be refunded minus the cancellation admin fee. Cancellation notification sent 3-6 days before the start date: 50% of the prepaid amount will be refunded. Cancellation notification sent 2 days before the start date: 25% of the prepaid amount will be refunded. Cancellation notification sent 0-1 days before the start date: no refund due. Cancellation Policy for U-Save Premium Plus package Free Cancellation until 48 hours of the reservation start time. Cancellations made less than 48 hours from the start time would be non-refundable. All prepaid reservations will be subject to a minimum cancellation fee. For any bookings where the prepaid amount is less than the minimum cancellation fee, there will be no refund due regardless of when the cancellation request was made. *Cancellation fee depends on the currency utilised to place the booking : £15 (GBP) / $15 (USD) / $15 (AUD) / €15 (EUR) Prepaid Rate Packages... SMOKING
A strict no smoking and vaping policy is in place for all vehicles. If you have smoked or allowed smoking within the vehicle, charges will apply. This includes allowing cigarette, cigar, or marijuana smoke or ash into the vehicle, which would imply the above.  A minimum fee of 250.00usd will apply.
TOLL ROADS AND FEES
It is the responsibility of each renter to cover the cost of any parking fines and traffic violations. When fines or traffic violations occur and a U-Save location is involved in administering the charge, then an administration fee will be charged to the renter. It can sometimes take up to 8 weeks following the completion of the rental for all fines or tolls to be received and processed on the credit card used for the rental. Most rental vehicles are outfitted with an automatic toll processing system, and this may automatically process toll payments when crossing a toll camera, even if you have chosen not to accept the offered toll package. If this occurs, you will be responsible for paying all outstanding tolls and administrative fees applied to your rental.
TRAVELING TO THE U.S.
A cross border fee of 15cad will apply for all vehicles that cross into the US
