Water, Water, Everywhere

A striking location at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean offers active visitors every opportunity to take the water.

Anglers come from miles around to try their luck in the deep blue sea. Jump on a convenient “HeadBoat” for a half- or full-day deep sea fishing excursion to catch sea bass and other delicacies. If you are after larger game fish you may want to charter a smaller, private boat. If you would rather, there are a number of places you can pull up on the beach to fish or drop a line off a pier, but don’t forget your fishing license.

Enjoy access to just about every water sport under the sun, from a relaxing kayak adventure on the ocean or the back bays, to sailing on the open sea.  You can also rent zippy WaveRunners, bounce around on the back of a banana boat, ride a wakeboard, parasail high in the sky, or simply grab a surfboard and hit the waves.

Traditionally, the area’s amusement parks have held a certain allure for the young and young-at-heart. The Family Kingdom is an old-style seaside park with more than 30 rides—including a wooden roller coaster and a Ferris wheel with an ocean view.

On the other hand, the brand new and more modern Freestyle Music Park has several different themed areas with screaming loud rides and shows for the whole family. MagiQuest is an indoor, live-action game that calls on players to use their own personal wand to complete challenges, face off with magical creatures and activate thrilling special effects.
